Corrections policy

Credit-card terms and merchant rules change. If SwipeCue is wrong or out of date, the goal is to make the correction accurately and from the strongest available source.

Effective September 1, 2026

Report a possible error

Use Feedback and include the page, card or benefit, what appears wrong, and an issuer link if you have one. Do not include a card number, account number, login, statement, or other sensitive financial information.

What happens next

1. Review the report

We identify the affected card, benefit, merchant rule, example, or page and reproduce the issue where possible.

2. Check primary sources

Material claims are checked against current issuer pages, reward agreements, and benefit terms. Merchant coding may require an uncertainty note when it cannot be verified universally.

3. Correct and re-review

Confirmed material errors are updated in the relevant app data or guide, and the affected guide's reviewed date is refreshed after the surrounding guidance is checked.

Scope and transparency

  • Typographical edits that do not change meaning may be corrected without a separate notice.
  • When a confirmed error materially changes a recommendation, the affected page receives a brief correction note in addition to an updated review date.
  • A reviewed date means the page and its material sources were checked; it is not a guarantee that every issuer or merchant will apply terms identically.
  • Disagreement about point values may be handled by clarifying the estimate and assumptions rather than presenting a subjective value as fixed fact.

For how recommendations are calculated, see the methodology.
